Hosted by the NRL Oceanography Division

Stennis Space Center is operated by NASA. NASA requires that foreign nationals present their passport for entry into Stennis and that they request a visitor's badge in advance using this application form. Please return the application form to NRL security as it is the NRL point of contact with NASA for visits by foreign nationals. NRL security is recommending that foreign nationals start their paperwork for NASA approval to enter Stennis by early February, and as soon as possible for employees of foreign governments. For assistance, please contact Charlene Parker at 228-688-4870. Limited internet access will be available at the meeting, but not wireless. The internet can be used when giving a presentation.

Visitors to Stennis Space Center are required to register in the building to the right of either of the two entry gates. There you will receive an official center entrance badge. Visitors must show a valid driver's license and Foreign Nationals must show a valid passport (and in general it's a good idea to bring your passport as proof of citizenship). All Foreign Nationals must have prior NASA approval to enter the site. If you are a Foreign National you should return the application form either 45 or 75 days before meeting to ensure sufficent time for approval. Otherwise, you may risk not getting NASA approval in time and being denied entry to Stennis Space Center (and the meeting). You will be notified as soon as approval is received. All Foreign Nationals who are permanent residents of the U.S. (green card, not a work visa or a student visa) and all Foreign Nationals from countries such as Canada, France, Japan, Korea, Russia and the UK should submit their security form 45 days in advance (by 10 March 2007) and Foreign Nationals from countries such as China, Egypt, Lebanon, and Taiwan (who are not permanent U. S. residents) should submit their form 75 days in advance (by 7 Feb 2007). Often the applications are approved more quickly, but you should not count on that. Visitors who are Foreign Government Employees should follow the instructions for submitting the NASA visitation application form and their own government's procedures for requesting a visit to a U.S. Navy facility, starting as soon as possible.
